PUBLIC NOTICE – HURRICANE HELENE

Personnel and Volunteers are working diligently to re-open county roads affected by Hurricane Helene.   These efforts are slowed dramatically due to downed power lines along with the wide spread damage.  Your patience is appreciated.

Solid Waste and Vegetative Debris guidelines resulting from Hurricane Helene:

Many collection center sites will be without power over the next several days.  Household garbage will not be accepted at collection center sites without power.

Laurens County will accept vegetative storm debris at collection center sites beginning Saturday during normal business hours.  There will also be additional vegetative debris collection sites at the following locations and will be designated with signs:

• Off Hwy 257 Dexter, Ga
• Off Lake Ave East Dublin, Ga
• Behind Airport at intersection of Old Landfill Road and Marley Cannon Road.
