Coroner

It is our mission and goal of the Laurens County Coroner's Office to provide the most professional, efficient, qualified, and courteous investigations into all deaths within our jurisdiction, as required by Georgia law.

Department of Family & Children Services

The Georgia Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) investigates reports of child abuse; finds foster and adoptive homes for abused and neglected children; issues SNAP, Medicaid, TANF and child care assistance to low-income families; helps out-of-work parents get back on their feet; and provides numerous support services and innovative programs to help families in need.

Emergency 911 Center

The primary mission of the Laurens County E-911 Communications Center is to provide the vital and necessary communications link between the citizens and emergency service providers in Laurens County.

Utilizing a fleet of 10 advanced life support ambulances, using all state required equipment as well as various pieces of state of the art equipment emergency medical response is provided 24/7/365.

Provides unbiased research based information in the areas of agriculture and natural resources, family and consumer sciences and 4-H and youth development.
